Our Journey

Founded in 2014 by Ryan Facer – an experienced electrical engineer who spent years maintaining and repairing critical laboratory equipment in hospitals – we began as a small family business in Northampton, determined to provide honest, thorough Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) with genuine personal service.

What started as a local Northampton operation quickly grew. As demand increased across the country, our customers asked us to take care of their fire safety needs too. We listened, invested in training and qualifications, and expanded to offer fire extinguisher servicing, fire alarm maintenance and professional fire risk assessments. Today, PatTest.com operates UK-wide with a network of fully qualified engineers, yet we remain a true family-run company based right here in Northampton.
